This is a email from someone perusing the CCTPP web site. It is a great email, and should be sent to the Carteret County Concerned Citizens for Education (C4). As the emailer suggests, C4 should support this bill so they can put their money where their mouth is. Suggest passing this on to C4

Rep. Sarah Stevens, Republican, Surry Co , N. C. has proposed a bill that would allow state residents to donate some, or all, of their state income tax refund to whatever state agency they choose.  This is a brilliant move.  For those willing to put more of their money into governmental efforts near and dear to their heart, such as education, and passage of this bill would provide a means to do so without taking an extra PENNY from the pockets of those who do not want, or cannot afford, to give up any more of their money.  (This was copied from part of an article in the Mount Airy news paper.)

This is a brilliant idea which would allow all of these parents who have been trying to force the Carteret Co. Commissioners to fund educational needs.  This would enable those individuals to put their money where their mouth is without harming the rest of us.
